Iknowhowfar is a digital archive dedicated to preserving and sharing Nigeria’s historical narrative.
Our collection includes newspapers and magazines with political headlines, photographs, rare book covers, press clippings, political satire, and other archival materials — many of which date back more than four decades.
We aim to provide readers, researchers, and the wider public with a platform that captures Nigeria’s journey: how we lived, the issues we confronted, and how the nation has grown through the years.
Beyond preservation, we connect the dots by revisiting forgotten stories, uncovering valuable insights hidden in archival materials, and using social media to engage a new generation of readers. For some, our content is a source of nostalgia; for others, it is a window into history they are discovering for the first time.
Some of our collection is available exclusively to registered researchers, donors, and members through direct downloads or our Virtual Reading Rooms.
In the meantime, you’re welcome to explore our public collection. If you enjoy what you discover and would like to help us preserve, digitize, and share more of Nigeria’s history, we’d love your support.
